Zion National Park, Utah

Notice the shuttles at the bottom of the picture. They are the only way to get around in the park, but they are wonderful. They come by about every 10 minutes, so you can spend as much time as you want at every stop.

Rafting on Colorado River in Glen Canyon

Notice the bridge at the top of the picture. It helps you understand the scale of the Glen Canyon Dam. Look for the round tunnel entrance at the right bottom of the picture. Our bus took a two-mile trip down a tunnel from the level of the bridge, down to the level of the water, where we got on the rafts.

My favorite picture of the trip: Bill thoroughly enjoying the raft trip

Notice the huge pile of eroded sandstone.

Notice bighorn sheep in the middle of the picture below. They were high above us in the canyon.

Notice the fishermen in the river. It helps to see how big the canyon is.

We stopped about half-way on the trip to see some Indian petroglyphs.

This is the view toward Lee's Ferry, at the end of the trip.

Oak Creek Canyon, on way to Sedona, Arizona

To see scale of mountains, see the road on far right of picture below. The road followed the edge of the canyon all the way to Sedona. It was a really beautiful drive.
